At the village of Bramousse, take the dirt road going up to the right at the parking area. Take this trail to reach the GR 58 in a hairpin bend (red and white markings) that will lead you to the foot of the high pasture chalets of Bramousse. Up to the 1950's, the inhabitants of Bramousse went there from June to September. From the chalets, a yellow-marked trail on the right will lead you on a short loop to see a larch, which is remarkable by its trunk and its age. Once you get back to the chalets, return by the same route.
There are two possible alternatives to keep enjoying yourself. The first alternative will lead you the col Fromage from the chalets of Bramousse (see the itinerary "Bramousse - col Fromage" on this website). Another alternative will lead you to the chalets of Bramousse and to the col Fromage (see the itinerary "Bramousse - Col of Bramousse and Col Fromage" on this website).
"HIKING, On foot in the Guillestrois – Great WALKS" - Guidebook sold in tourism offices in the area.
There is a parking area on the flat ground to the right of the meadow, at the other end of the village. From the village of Bramousse, after the last houses, the itinerary starts on the dirt road to the right.
