From the Guillestre Tourism Office, head off on the road towards the Queyras. Just before the "Pont'Eau" bridge as you leave Guillestre, continue on the road to the right. It then becomes the Combe Chauve forestry track that zigzags up the undergrowth. Stay on this track up to the place called "Grand Pré". Although you will be concentrating your efforts on the way up, do not forget to admire the charming Durance and Queyras landscapes. The Grand Pré is the highest point of the route and is particularly well situated to have a break before starting back...then, ready for a technical descent of hairpins. The track is narrow and starts to the right of the trail about 400 m before arriving in Grand Pré. Many bends through the woods lead to Guillestre.
