Departure : Hameau des Grangettes → Arrival : Lac du Lauzet

This trail gives you a wonderful view ober the valley of the Vallouise as well as the famous Écrins and Pelvoux summits. After reaching the Lauzet Lake, you can continue your hike towards the col Garnier. You will catch sight of the Queyras and the high pasture chalets of Furfande.

The itinerary starts on the right after the last houses of the Grangettes, on a rocky path alongside the Pra Reboul torrent. Follow this path up to the third footbridge you will take to cross over the torrent. Walk along the mountainside and the small "bois noir" canal (dark wood canal) that goes to the right. After about 100 m, the canal goes under the growth of the larch forest. The trail crosses over the canal and meanders under the larches. Further ahead, you will cross the Lauzet torrent on foot. After walking across a clearing, the path meanders on a rockier area, which explains why the markings are less clear. Climb alongside the torrent and cross over it one more time to change sides and reach the Lauzet hut. From there, take the trail that leads you all the way to the edge of the lake. You can go back to the departure point on the same route.

Variant

You can go on walking up to the Col Garnier (see the itinerary with the same name).
