The itinerary starts on the right after the last houses of the Grangettes, on a rocky path alongside the Pra Reboul torrent. Follow this path up to the third footbridge you will take to cross over the torrent. Walk along the mountainside and the small "bois noir" canal (dark wood canal) that goes to the right. After about 100 m, the canal goes under the growth of the larch forest. The trail crosses over the canal and meanders under the larches. Further ahead, you will cross the Lauzet torrent on foot. After walking across a clearing, the path meanders on a rockier area, which explains why the markings are less clear. Climb alongside the torrent and cross over it one more time to change sides and reach the Lauzet hut. From there, take the trail that leads you all the way to the edge of the lake. You can go back to the departure point on the same route.
You can go on walking up to the Col Garnier (see the itinerary with the same name).

To get to the hamlet of the Grangettes, climb up to the hamlet of Villard, 3 km above the village of Saint-Crépin. Follow the trail going to the north. Access via this track is quite long. Park near the last houses, on the side of the trail or the trail below. The itinerary starts on the right after the last houses of the Grangettes on the stony path running alongside the Pra Reboul stream.
