The itinerary goes through the housing lots of Longeagne and reaches a country lane at the foot of the Sugar Loaf. It runs alongside the canal on the left for several metres. If you turn to your right, you will be able to get to the summit of the Sugar Loaf by a small trail. From there, you can see the Queyras valley to the northeast, whilst the Bourg of Guillestre with its hayfields, orchards and few vines stretches to the southwest. The trail follows the edge of the plateau of Guillestre. In front of you, the hamlet of Gros dominates. The view from the plateau of Guillestre is panoramic: the bottom of the Guil, in the distance the glaciers of the Écrins, the stronghold of Mont-Dauphin... Return by the same itinerary, without any difficulty.
