Technically feasible for a broad public, this circuit will however call on your physical abilities for the final climb to Risoul. Practical advice: make sure you have some energy in reserve. Unless you choose to do it in reverse order (with the climb to begin with) saving the best part for the end!

From the Risoul 1850 resort, start towards the Pré du Laus lake on the trail that leads up into the larch forest and then heads back down to the right towards the Combas hut. Before the sheep barn, leave the trail to head down the single track path to the right which links up to the road after crossing another forestry track. Head down for a few metres and after the first hairpin bend, go straight on to continue the frantic jaunt through the woods. Once you reach the hamlet of Gaudissard, it is less fun as you will have to climb up. To do so, follow the road towards the resort and at the crossing of Gaudissard Haut, follow the road to "Risoul Village". Shortly after, at a level with Le Collet, turn right to take the forestry track, the old road to Risoul, that climbs to the resort through meadows and undergrowth.
